๐ฆ๐๐ข๐จ๐ โ August 9, 2025 โ Much of South Korea is set to experience cloudy skies and scattered rainfall today, as the tail end of the summer monsoon continues to influence the peninsulaโs weather patterns.
In Seoul, the day began under overcast conditions, with light showers forecast between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Daytime temperatures are expected to peak at 27 ยฐC (80 ยฐF) before cooling to 23 ยฐC (73 ยฐF) overnight.
Further south in Busan, the morning started cloudy but rain is expected to begin around 2:00 PM and persist into the late evening. The port city will see a high of 27 ยฐC (80 ยฐF) and an overnight low of 21 ยฐC (70 ยฐF).
August remains one of South Koreaโs wettest months, with average highs between 25โ30 ยฐC and significant humidity. While the monsoon season officially peaks in July, lingering atmospheric effects in August often bring intermittent rainfall, particularly along the southern and coastal regions.
Authorities advise residents and travelers to carry umbrellas and rain gear, plan for possible transportation delays, and consider indoor activities during peak rain hours.
